Invented by George B. Scott of Gold & Stock and W.P. Phelps of Philadelphia Local Telegraph Company, the self-winding device is the image one generally imagines when referring to a Stock Ticker. In order to keep up with the volume of trades, this new self-winding stock ticker operated much faster than the Universal, though both remained in service for many years. This print is 20" x 28" - unframed.
